My story
I am truly a sweet boy who enjoys laying on the sofa with my companions, be they dog or human, once I am comfortable with them. I do not have any aggressive traits, neither towards food guarding or in self defense when I feel threatened. In the right home with the right family, I will thrive and relax to enjoy life. With the right care, from the beginning, I will learn and grow to be more comfortable in my new home.

What I need in a home:

- I am more comfortable with women than with men.

- I need a regular steady routine.

- I will do much better in a home that already has a dog that is comfortable and affectionate towards the people in the home.

- I should never be yelled at, scolded or in an environment that has frequent loud abrupt noises because I am very nervous.

- I love to lay on the sofa and I find my crate to be a refuge when I'm frightened or left alone in the house.

- I am still learning to walk on a leash, so having a fenced in yard is required.

- I need to be free of the presence of children because I find them very frightening and confusing.

- I enjoy chewing bones and toys

- Most of all, I will need an owner that is extremely patient and willing to spend much energy every day to help me become more comfortable and work on basic training.

What I am still working on in my foster home:

- I am still learning to be more comfortable with new people.

- I am working on potty training and will go to the bathroom inside if I am left alone for long periods of time.

- I have some separation anxiety and will be destructive with things that are left out.

I am currently being fostered in a home with another dog and a man that has been able to discover the issues and the solutions for my new family. My foster father is willing to work with and help my new family to insure the success of my placement into a safe environment where I can function and become a contributing member of my new family.
